Service Wings

The college offers training in NCC for the students. The students are admitted in NCC once they gain admission in the college. NCC uniforms and other benefits applicable to the NCC are offered to the students without any charges. At the end of each year the students have to return those items.

Students who exhibit interest and show active participation and merit are selected and appointed as leaders and are sent to Delhi to participate in the Republic Day parade.

  • 23 cadets appeared for NCC ’B’ Certificate Examination in February 2018.
  • 25 cadets appeared for NCC ’C’ Certificate Examination in February 2018.
  • REPUBLIC DAY CAMP (RDC) - Contingent Drill, Guard of Honour, Individual Drill, Best Cadet, Flag Area, Line Area, Culturals (Group Dance, Group Song, Niap)
  • TALSAINIK CAMP (TSC) � Obstacles, Tent Pitching, Firing, Health&Hygiene;, Field Craft & Battle Craft, Map Reading.

  • 4 cadets appeared for NCC B Certificate Examination in February 2018.
  • 8 cadets appeared for NCC C Certificate Examination in February 2018.

  • Republic Day Camp led by our ANO Captain Dr. R. Selvi Associate NCC Officer, as CONTINGENT ANO to represent TN, P & AN Directorate to Delhi.
  • NCC cadets participated in Special National Integration Camp, CATC CAMP held at Tambaram & Egmore, CATC CUM RDC/TSC/Sports Camp at Ponneri, TSC Training Camp at Vandalur, Nilgris Trekking Camp, Basic Leadership Camp couducted at Thanjavur & Kumbakonam, RCTC-[Rock Climbing Training Camp] at Gwalior, All India Annual Training Camp at Kerala, Basic Mountaineering Camp at Uttarkashi, Advance Leadership Camp at Agra , NSC Launch I ⅈ Achievement Camp, National Intergration Camp- III held at Maihar, RDC Training-I Camp at Thiruvallur, RDC Training-II Camp at West Tambaram, RDC training- III Camp at Manimangalam, RDC Training Camp- IV at Puzhal, RDC-IGC[Inter Group Competition] Camp at Coimbatore, TSC Training-I Camp at Kattankulathur, TSC training- II Camp at Vellore, TSC training- III at Kandigai, TSC- IGC camp at Madurai.
  • Army Band And Weapon Display Program held at Stella Maris College was actively attended by 30 Cadets from our college.

  • Social awareness programs activities included celebration of International yoga day, participation in Pinkathon, Tree plantation event, Independence Day Parade, International women’s Day, Coastal cleaning, NCC Day celebration at Kalaivaanar Arangam, Rally for rivers, Dengue Awareness event, Drug abuse awareness program.
  • NCC volunteers actively participated in Swachhta pakhwara events such as Health & Hygiene awareness drive in the slum in Pudupet, Campus cleaning, Library cleaning, Museum cleaning.
  • NCC volunteers participated in seminars like Social Harmony And National Unity Seminar conducted by Loyola College and Eighth National Seminar on Role of Youth in National Building conducted by D.G.Vaishnav College.

  • In the Cado Green Fest conducted by Pachaiyappas College on 27th & 28th January 2018, our college won Third prize in kholna-Jholna
  • In the Theaga Fest conducted by Sir Theagaraya College on 28th & 29th January2018, our college won overall cultural Trophy, first prize in group dance, solo dance & individual drill, second prize in best cadet, third prize in Kholna-Jholna, group song & fast dressing.
  • At the Cado Sea Breeze Fest conducted by Presidency College on 2nd &3rd Febraury2018, Our college won overall trophy in cross country and first prize in best right marker in contingent drill.
  • 35 cadets participated in the Cado Fiesta Fest conducted by Dr.Ambedkar Law University on 9th to 11th Febraury 2018.
  • In the Cado Alpha Fest conducted by Alpha Arts And Science College on 2nd & 3rd march 2018. 35 cadets from our college participated and participation certificates were given, our college won first prize in cross country.
