Library is an indispensable part of the English Department. The Department has a well-equipped library to ensure students get an exhaustive knowledge of a wide-range of authors. New books are added every year according to the prescribed syllabus. From the day of its inception the collection is done on the basis of quality and research.
The Library comprises of Encyclopaedias, Complete Works of various eras and cultures ranging from Greek, Roman, Indian, Russian and African. It also houses the latest collection of books in specialized fields such as Mass Communication, Diaspora, Cultural Studies, Critical Theories, Art of Writing, World Literature, Green Studies and Children’s Literature. The Library has an exclusive section for Reference books to benefit staff and students and upgrade themselves. Students are also exposed to performance-oriented fields such as broadcast journalism, film reviews, translations, editing, report-writing, etc. General Knowledge books, Job-oriented books such as books for SLET, NET and Competitive Examinations are also part of the collection. Books are arranged according to their respective genres to facilitate quick access to those who wish to use the library.
